This question had been quietly growing in the mind of Ms. Quyên, founder of Thơmore. With a soul moved by beauty – not merely in outward appearance but in every delicate touch of fragrance – she had long sensed an unfilled void in Vietnam’s perfume market. In recent years, as the wave of domestic perfumes began to rise, a paradox emerged – quality gradually became diluted in the commercial frenzy. Industrial scents, hastily born merely to catch trends, lacked the refinement and dedication that are the soul of the art of perfumery.
Standing in this market, perfume lovers in Vietnam often face a harsh choice: either settle for products that still fall short of international standards, or invest a substantial sum in luxurious imported perfume bottles.
But is perfume truly a luxury beyond reach? In this era, technology, ingredients, and expertise can all be accessed, learned, and gradually perfected. Nurturing this belief, Ms. Quyên decided to leave her stable office job to pursue an inspiring dream: to create a truly “Made in Vietnam” perfume brand with quality that could stand shoulder to shoulder with renowned international fragrances, from ingredient quality and formula refinement to long-lasting fragrance performance.
Because Vietnamese people deserve to have a perfume brand of their own.
